(Washington, D.C. ) –
Vietnam Veterans of America will host “Broadway to Baghdad,”
a star-studded special event on Tuesday, October 17, in New York City. The
two-part event, which will honor America’s fightingmen and women, includes
the “Broadway to Baghdad” USO-type show from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the HBO
Theater and an 8 o’clock performance of the new Twyla Tharp musical, “The
Times They Are A-Changin’” at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
“Vietnam Veterans of America’s motto is ‘Never again will
one generation of veterans abandon another,’” said VVA President John Rowan
“This event is one of many VVA efforts to honor the newest generation of
American veterans and to reach out to them, with the benefit of our
experience, to help them adjust to life back home. We certainly hope that
veterans and others who support veterans will come out on October 17th
for this worthwhile cause.”
Special sponsorship packages, including opportunities to
help active-duty service members attend the events, are available. To find
