Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America to
Hold National Leadership Conference

(Washington, D.C. ) - The Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America (AVVA), the adjunct organization of Vietnam Veterans of America, will hold its 5th National Leadership Conference July 17-21 at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center in Springfield, Illinois. The Leadership Conference will be held in conjunction with Vietnam Veterans of America’s 13th National Convention.

The Leadership Conference’s Opening Ceremonies will take place on Wednesday, July 18. That will be followed by one of the event’s highlights, the Luncheon, which this year is dedicated to the Chapel of Four Chaplains and will feature a Keynote Speech by VVA National Secretary Barry Hagge.

Leadership Conference attendees will take part in a series of seminars on subjects such as Agent Orange, Secondary Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and working with the newest generation of veterans. Speakers include Cinda Lockhart of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Military Liaison Tanya Trammell.
