legislation by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to perpetuate and uphold
the integrity of the Medal of Honor and to help Medal of
Honor recipients. The objectives and purposes of the society are
as follows: To promote allegiance to the government of the United States of
America and to its Constitution, and to serve our nation in peace or war.
To promote and perpetuate the principles upon which our nation is founded; to
foster patriotism; and to inspire and stimulate our youth to become worthy
citizens of our country.
Veterans Against Drugs Core Values
Respect and Camaraderie: We support each
other and feel we're all members of one family.
Loyalty and Compassion: We care about
comrades and others in need.
Honesty and Integrity: We tell the truth and
take responsibility.
Meaningful Achievement: We want to make a
difference, focusing on issues that stand as critical barriers
to fulfilling life of all Americans.
Advocacy: As veterans, we are committed to
these core values for fairness in the treatment of children. As caring
mentors, we can help them avoid the pitfalls of violence and drugs.
