former Marine officer from the Gulf War era is doing a documentary
on his father, Jim Hare (former USMC Captain), who was at
Chu Lai from Oct. 1966-Nov. 1967. He was shot down and brought
aboard the U.S.S. Matthews in Danang Harbor. Was anyone aboard
the Matthews who remembers pulling a Phantom pilot out of
the water? (Jim Hare died Dec. 1998 of Agent Orange-related
