December 23, 2007, in Kerrville, Texas, of Agent Orange-related
diabetes mellitus type II. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War. He was a permanently hospitalized veteran of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Kerrville Chapter 863.
Paula A. Allen, 65, died January 10 in Idaho
Falls, Idaho. She was a member of Associates of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Idaho Falls Chapter 972.
Thomas J. Anderson, Sr., 69, died January
27 in Conway, South Carolina, from the lung disease, COPD.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and retired
in 1976. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Little
River Chapter 925.
Laurence A. Armstrong, 79, died November 26, 2007, in
Lompoc, California, from pneumonia and cardiopulmonary arrest.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was
an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America-California.

A. Austin, 60, died January 24 in St. Albans, Vermont, of
colon cancer. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was
a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-St. Albans Chapter
753.
George Ellis Barker, 63, died January 13 in Dunlap,
Tennessee, of brain cancer and a blood clot to the lung.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from August 1965-66
and also saw service in Desert Storm in 1991. He was a member
of Vietnam Veteran of America-Chattanooga Chapter 203.
Thomas J. Battaglia,
Sr., 58, died in Bayonne, New Jersey. He was a veteran of
the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Bayonne
Chapter 151.
Lee W. Beiers died
in Springfield, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War
and an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Ohio.
Brad Bradbury, 70, died November 22, 2007,
in Redondo Beach, California, of congestive heart failure.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War
from 1966-67. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Redondo
Beach Chapter 53.
William Lee Brown, 61, died January 2 in Lake
City, Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Tallahassee Chapter 96.
John D. Carmeli, 76, died January 6 in Texarkana,
Texas, of lung cancer. He served in the U.S. Army during
the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Texarkana Chapter 278.
Les W. Celler, 59, died December 29, 2007, in
Chicago. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Chicago Chapter 242.
Truman Burton Christopher, 61, died November
27, 2007, in Hixson, Tennessee, of lung cancer. He served
four years in the U.S. Air Force with a tour of duty in Vietnam
from 1966-67. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Chattanooga Chapter 203.
James Vinton Craven, 76, died September 26, 2006,
in Dodge, North Dakota, of sepsis syndrome, bowel ischemie,
renal failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.
He served in the U.S. Army from November 1951 to October
1953. He was a life member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Mayville Chapter 374.
Glenn L. Crawford, 59, died December 29, 2007,
in Carlsbad, New Mexico, from a G.I. hemorrhage and a massive
heart attack. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam
War with the 8th RR Field Station in Phu Bai, from 1969-70.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Carlsbad Chapter

S. Crivello, 73, died January 19 in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
She was a member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America-Milwaukee

Howard Crow Flies High,
64, died October 14, 2007, in New Town, North Dakota, of
squamous cell cancer of lungs and larynx. He served in the
U.S. Army, from 1965-67, with a tour of duty in Vietnam.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Mandan Chapter
487.
Edwin C. Davis, 58, died November
1, 2007, in Bennington, Vermont. He was a veteran of the
Vietnam War. He was a permanently hospitalized veteran member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Bennington Chapter 601.
Stephen M. Deaver, 63, died December 21,
2007, in Richmond, Indiana, of heart disease. He served in
the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a life member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Richmond Chapter 777.
James J. Donelan died October
6, 2007, in Roselle, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army
for ten years and retired at the rank of Captain. He served
two tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star
and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Westfield Chapter 688.
Ronald M. Dove, 64, died January 20 in Palestine, Texas,
of cancer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam
War from 1966-69. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Palestine Chapter 991.
Paul R. Fisher, 55, died December
8, 2007, in Hooks, Texas, following a motor vehicle accident.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Texarkana Chapter 278.
Robert James Frake, 58, died January 10 in Middletown,
New Jersey, from metastatic kidney cancer. He served in the
U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968-69. He
was awarded the Purple Heart and the Navy Achievement Medal
with “V” device.
In 1989, at the age of 40, he joined the Marine Reserves
with the 6th Motor Transport Battalion in Red Bank, New Jersey,
and deployed in 1991 to Operation Desert Storm. He was a
life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Allenhurst Chapter
12.
Leon William Fuller, 73, died on January 2 in White Hall,
Arkansas, of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cancer
of the bronchus and the lungs. He served in the U.S. Army
in the Vietnam War. During the Korean War, he served in the
U.S. Navy. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Pine
Bluff Chapter 830.
George G. Gallagher, 63, died January 19,
2007, in Lafayette, New Jersey, of Agent Orange-related cancer.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Stanhope Chapter 327.
Walter H. Gekoski, 59, died December 15, 2007,
in Kendall, New York, of cancer. He served in the U.S. Marine
Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Rochester Chapter 20.
Ernest J. Glenn, Jr., 61,
died April 23, 2007, in East Elmhurst, New York, of lung
cancer. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Rego Park Chapter 32.
Douglas Earl Gonyea, Sr., 64, died March 27, 2007, in
Burlington, Vermont, of liver failure. He served in the U.S.
Army with tours of duty in Germany and Vietnam from 1964-67.

David Andrew Gray, 60, died January 17 in Mineral
City, Ohio, from a heart attack. He served in the U.S. Army
in Vietnam at the rank of Sergeant. He was a life member

November 2007 in Lincoln, Arkansas. He served in the U.S.
Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Vietnam

David L. Helms, 63, died November 1, 2006, in Seabrook,
Texas of metastatic esophageal carcinoma. He served in the
U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from 1969-70. He was an at-large
member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Texas.
Elroy Joseph Hill, 63,
died December 5, 2007, in Stanley, North Dakota, of acute
coronary syndrome and coronary artery disease and tobacco
abuse. He served in the U.S. Army, from 1965-67, with an
18-month tour of duty in Vietnam with Company C, 69th Signal
Battalion. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Mandan
(North Dakota) Chapter 487.
Bobby Dale Holsapple,
75, died January 2 in Beaumont, Texas, of mycosis fungoides
and T-cell lymphoma. He served in the U.S. Air Force with
a tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired after 23 years of service.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Beaumont Chapter
292.
Joseph C. Hopkins died in
Cridersville, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and

Michael A. Kalla,
67, died January 14 in Hinesville, Georgia, of a stroke.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-81, attaining the rank
of Major. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was
awarded the Silver Star, three Bronze Stars with “V” device,
Meritorious Service Award, the Air Medal and other awards.
He served as a Battalion S-2 for the 2nd/7th Cavalry in the
1st Cavalry Division and as Company Commander of B Company.
He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Hinesville
Chapter 789.
Paul Edwin Keller, 57, died January 4 in Troy,
Kansas, of cancer. He served in the U.S. Army during the
Vietnam War and was also in the Army National Guard, retiring
with the rank of First Sergeant. He was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Leavenworth Chapter 75.
William R. Kendle, 58,
died December 16, 2005, in Molalla, Oregon, of complications
from Agent Orange-related diabetes mellitus. He served in
the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry
Division from 1968-69. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Salem Chapter 271.

Konigsberg, 60, died in Inglewood, California. He was a veteran
of the Vietnam War and a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Redondo Beach Chapter 53.

Son Nhut AFB and retired at the rank of Technical Sergeant
after 20 years of service. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Chattanooga Chapter 203.
Michael Manni died in Columbia, South Carolina.
